Street Food Success of ROJET’Z Barbecue
From a small fire-place like kitchen, multiplying to numerous grills, from five small tables to 50, from hundred sticks to thousands, who would have thought that a Kanto Freestyle Barbeque Station will become the largest Grilling Station in Lucena?
Year 1995 when Cecille Soler decided to put up a barbeque chicken and pork business called “Cecille’s Litson Manok and Liempo”. Two years after, their business shifted to fried chicken called “Maksaraaap! Fried Chicken” with four branches over Quezon.
After seeing the potential of goods in Lucena on 2009, the Soler couple decided to put up Lucena’s famous BBQ station to the industry which they called- ROJET’Z Barbeque Station.
According to ROJET’Z Barbeque Station’s Operating Chief Manager, Ian Ronoel Soler,, the name ROJET’Z came from the three original owners-- Ronnie, Jessie and Teddy. The ‘Z however was just for business branding purposes only.
“Nagsimula lamang kami sa kanto free-style, yung tipikal lang. Hindi naman namin inaasahan na papatok ito sa masa,” shared Ian Ronoel Soler.
Since then, ROJET’Z Barbeque Station has become one of the household names when it comes to affordable street food place in Lucena.
ROJET’Z serves many of the mainstream delicacies here in the Philippines like their famous sizzlers and their fried chicken but one of the things that makes them one of the favorite eating stops in Lucena city is their grilled Filipino-style street foods.
Due to the rising demand and increasing number of customers, ROJET’Z Barbeque Station moved to a bigger location and rebranded as they continue to serve delicious food to all at very affordable prices.
“Ang secret lang namin sa aming business ay quality, pagmamahal sa trabaho at fairness namin sa mga empleyado,” revealed Ian.
He also added that as the turnover of their products are very quick especially at night, they make sure that every customer will receive new and quality products from them.
“Sa mga future entrepreneur, sugal ang negosyo. Sa panahon ngayon, mahalagang- mahalaga talaga ang branding kasi doon mailalagay kung sino ka talaga,” Ian concluded.
