Because of poverty and lack of cognizance, many Filipinos cannot run as early as they can to the clinics.
They do not have ample knowledge that would enable them to know the symptoms, especially those poor ones that are education-deprived, and also those that do not notice to their body condition.
Some did not even choose to be informed about the public crisis.
Even inside the hospital, diagnostic analysis sometimes do not work because ill people came late for check-ups and the bacteria from aedes aegypti proliferated fast.
Furthermore, those unaware do not use the present dengue-fighting devices, such as repellents that are FDA approved.
But the problem here is that some buy the wrong products or those that are not approved in the industry, and if not wrong, the chemicals present in the insecticides or sprays attract more mosquitoes.
Aside from this, they do not wear appropriate clothes to avoid mosquito bites, such as dark-colored tops.
These reasons are just some of the most common issues that maintains the epidemic going.
Thus, citizens should seek for health consultation – which is the primary strategy that should be done by those who feel the signs.
