In light of the recent events regarding the dengue being an epidemic in the country, it is only our duty to strive to educate people towards a better and safer life by providing them factual information for them to make informed choices. The challenge we are facing now is how can we educate people and how can we prevent further losses from this disease.

Although this may seem promising, we cannot deny the fact that with the Philippines’ situation integrating these changes will be very difficult.

Now is the perfect time that the gov’t pdo something about it. Especially now that the situation tells us to do so. Because of the public uproar caused by Dengvaxia, citizens are now afraid to vaccinate children and the rise of anti-vaxers are nothing but powerful.

Recently, Department of Health reported that a 10 year old girl died of Diptheria, a disease we haven’t seen in decades.

In our times today, disease which are disintegrate by vaccines from atleast the beginning of the century have resurfaced once more. Measles, Polio and now, Diptheria. Let us not also forget about Dengue and African Swine Fever that happened and is now currently spreading not only in the country but in South East Asia.

These outbreaks are something to be treated seriously with. Not only do this outbreaks stain the image of the country, this harms our country in ever single way. It defies the main responsibility of the government- to serve its people.

It is only right and just for the government to make an action. Are simple baranggay initiate enough for a long term solution? Yes it is better than nothing but that is not the point. The government should bring back Dengvaxia and impose a harder rule on integrating vaccinations in the country
